Walks from the Wharf

Discover Welford and its canal

A popular guide to five historic walks in and around the village of Welford on the Northamptonshire/Leicestershire border. All of the walks begin and end at the wharf, where there are additional outdoor display panels under a purpose-built shelter by the car park.

A leaflet designed for exploration

The leaflet we designed folds from A2 size to the ever popular DL (one third of A4). One side is given over to maps of the five walks, and can be folded to show the walk of your choice as you explore the countryside. The other side opens to a wallchart that encourages walkers to 'read' the landscape for themselves.

The wallchart side

Welford and its canal have a rich history for people to explore at their own pace. Our wallchart is designed to offer clues that invite people to look, investigate and learn through participation.

Outdoor display panels by the car park

Our client was keen to provide walkers with more information than can be contained in a leaflet. These outdoor displays have lots of text and are intended to cater for people making repeat visits to this popular location.
